Resource Leader
Role Description
The Resource Leader role empowers volunteers and provides the opportunity to participate in facilitating the AGP for girls and young women in their local area or further afield.
Please note: The Resource Leader is expected to have a Leadership or Management qualification at appointment i.e. this position is a transition from a Leader or Manager role, not a new appointment.
Resource Leader Responsibilities
- Comply with Girl Guides Australia/State Girl Guides Organisation policy and procedures
- Manage risk on an ongoing basis
- Share skills, knowledge, and resources with Adult and Youth Members
- Facilitate leadership skills development within the group with which she works
- Support the delivery of the Australian Guide Program
- Be aware of planned local and State events and community contacts in the area appointed
- Implement self-government methods appropriate to the activity enabling decisions to be made democratically
- Work as a member of the District, Region, or State team.

Requirements for Appointment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Satisify the requirements of adult membership and appointment for her SGGO
- Hold a Leadership or Management Qualification
- Maintain the first aid qualification relevant to the role – HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support.
The Leader reports to the District Manager and the appointment terms are determined by the relevant SGGO.
